RoboSTOP is designed to prevent unintended collisions of physical elements within a work space. Acting as a fail-safe to prevent robot crashes, it removes the chance of expensive repairs and system downtime.
RoboSTOP can be implemented on your systems PLC to affect and restrict the movement of a robot within the reach area. A RoboSTOP event will trigger a safety stop of the robot(s) involved. This functionality in designed to be used only as a last resort and not a primary method of robot control within an automated system.
A model of the work space environment is created where virtual enclosures can be added to envelop the objects to be protected. This includes robots, tooling blocks, beams, and walls etc.
