FibreLINE 2X1: Compact Composite Preforming

Here are a few snippets from our March 2024 newsletter!

We recently presented FibreLINE 2X1, an automated composite preforming system designed specifically for smaller parts, at JEC World 2024. This system is devised to manufacture car parts, train doors, and aircraft wing components such as fairings, ailerons, nacelles, cowlings, and wing tips.

Existing within a smaller cell than our standard FibreLINE system, it uses a single robot equipped with an automatic tool changer to complete the entire cycle of preforming from cutting through to inspection and consolidation.

FibreLINE 2X1

FibreLINE 2X1 is ideal for manufacturers looking for an affordable and compact solution. It is available in a variety of configurations specific to end users’ requirements and provides a radical increase in production rates compared to AFP and traditional methods.

Güdel Track Delivery

It was another momentous occasion at the Loop Technology Centre in Dorchester this week as we took delivery of the track for our latest FibreLINE order. This is the first Güdel TMF-6 track ever to be delivered in the UK.

MTDCNC Feature RoboMACH HA & Break Room

MTDCNC is an exciting and rapidly growing platform dedicated to the world of manufacturing and machining. We were delighted to have our high accuracy robotic machining system featured in the March edition of their magazine.

RoboMACH HA is a cost-effective alternative to large capacity machine tools, providing next level versatility and flexibility for manufacturers engaged in complex machining. It offers highly accurate trimming, cutting, milling, and drilling when machining materials such as cured carbon fibre, wood, engineering foam and plastic.

We recently opened a new break room complete with bean bags and games console so our team now have a great place to go and unwind. It’s been put to additional good use already with our stores person, Lorenzo Zammit, conducting an auction for a charitable cause that led to a frenzied set of bids from team members who wanted Star Wars memorabilia!
