Company Update: LoopCLEAN Launch & Several Landmark Events

LoopCLEAN

Versatile & Cutting-Edge Robotic Laser Cleaning

It’s been a busy and exciting time at Loop Technology recently, so much so that it was hard to cram it all into the November newsletter!

We recently launched our LoopCLEAN range which offers highly accurate and versatile robotic laser cleaning at varying levels of automation.

Using laser ablation, a six-axis industrial robot cleans complex components with incredible precision, speed and repeatability.

Breaking Ground at COMPASS with AMRC, Boeing & Spirit AeroSystems

We were delighted to attend the ceremony for the new COMPASS facility at the University of Sheffield alongside our partners AMRC, Boeing and Spirit AeroSystems.

The Composites at Speed and Scale facility (COMPASS) will be the home for the Boeing-led Isothermic High-Rate Sustainable Structures (IHSS) project, which will develop new technology that meets the growing demand for lighter commercial aircraft, whilst accelerating the aviation industry’s commitment to reach net zero by 2050.

Loop Technology Across the Atlantic!

We were thrilled to travel to both the 2023 Boeing Supplier Showcase in Seattle and the Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show in late September.

The CMTS in Toronto was a wonderful experience whilst we were honoured to be one of the thirty-five hand-picked UK companies exemplifying world-leading innovation in aerospace technology at Boeing’s prestigious event.

Advanced Engineering, Fanuc Open House & IMecHE Nuclear

It’s been an especially thrilling November as we attended a number of events, meeting a range of fantastic people across industries.

advanced engineering panel

Our Project Director, Ian Redman, spoke at Advanced Engineering on ‘Advances in High-Rate Composite Deposition’ and took part in an insightful panel discussion with Bruce Kirby of Airbus and Keri Montague of Leonardo.

We also spent three days at Fanuc Open House, where Technical Sales Engineer, Adam White, displayed our trailblazing RealPATH solution that generates robot pathways without the need for CAD and offline programming. It pushes the automation of laser cleaning, inspection, painting and sanding to new heights.

Nuclear Ventilation Conference 2023

Business Development Manager, Gary Ottley, attended The Nuclear Ventilation Conference 2023 hosted by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers where we exhibited with Krantz Limited, the expert providers of high-quality and innovative air distribution, heating and cooling systems.
