The Parlour holiday cottage is a carefully restored stone barn dating from the 1800s, offering self catering accomodation in tranquil surroundings.
Located in the picturesque village of Sutton Poyntz, five miles east of Weymouth and Dorchester and just a mile from the coast. Take a look at the map to see exactly where we are. Visitors to the Parlour can enjoy the amenities of the popular beach resort with its many Restaurants, Cafes and Shops or settle for a more tranquil pastime walking in the beautiful countryside surrounding the village.
Close by there are many historical sites ranging from the cottage of Thomas Hardy to the ancient hill fort at Maiden Castle.
A gravel driveway with parking for one car leads to the entrance door, entering into a fully equipped kitchen containing fridge, fitted electric cooker, hob unit and microwave oven. The bathroom leads off from the kitchen and contains bath/shower, pedestal basin and separate toilet.
Also leading off from the kitchen down three steps is an open plan lounge with wooden floor, beamed sealing, wood burning stove and rugs. For your (or the children's !) entertainment there is a surround sound TV with Nicam Stereo video player and a selection of books.
A spiral staircase leads from the dining area up to a gallery style double bedroom.....

In the bedroom you will find an extremely comfortable king size cast iron bed, beamed ceiling and a wooden floor with rugs. A pine wardrobe provides ample storage. During the summer months you can sleep with the windows open and awake in the morning to the sound of the many species of birds that frequent the garden. We sometimes get Woodpeckers or even Herons.

Also leading off from the dining area you will find the second bedroom containing two single beds and a dressing table. We can supply a travel cot should you require one.
Again there is a wooden floor with rugs. French doors lead to the garden...

The enclosed south facing garden is a fantastic sun trap during the summer months. It has a large patio with furniture and barbecue for anybody who enjoys eating outdoors. Down some steps there is a lawn with surrounding flower borders and rockery.

The cottage has off road parking for one vehicle.
